DPLA is structured around “hubs” which pass member institution records to the larger DPLA repository. Our “service hub” provides members with access to a community of practice, some central coordination and planning, and manages the periodic ingest of institutional metadata records into the DPLA system. Memorandum of Understanding

All contributing institutions must sign the Missouri Hub Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Technical Requirements

Any institution in Missouri may contribute content to DPLA through Missouri Hub as long as it has a digital collection that meets the following basic requirements:

  1. An OAI-PMH data feed with Dublin Core or MODS metadata
  2. Links back to a publically accessible record from the contributing institution
  3. Image thumbnails – where available. Must be a url to an image no larger than 150 px on a side
  4. A rights statement for every record
  5. All metadata supplied as CC0 (public domain)
  6. A value in the title field
  7. Contributing Institution must be identified in each record
